Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy for Atlantis Painting LLC
Last updated: November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Atlantis Painting LLC, a paint drop studio in Roy, Utah, collects, uses, shares, stores and protects information when people visit our website, contact the studio, request an estimate sheet or take part in a color card run, a prep window, a finish review round or a walkthrough sitting. The studio is operated under the developer name Atlantis Paint, and this policy applies to all of the digital and physical work that the developer Atlantis Paint carries out on behalf of the company.
We wrote this policy in plain language because we believe people should be able to understand what happens to their information without a legal dictionary. We have kept the policy free of confusing shorthand, and we have grouped the topics into clearly labeled sections so a reader can jump to the part that matters most. If anything here is unclear, the studio answers questions by email at estimates@atlantispaint.surf and by phone at +17197923797 during business hours.
The company name and mailing address used throughout this policy are Atlantis Painting LLC, 2821 W 4225 S, Roy - 84067-9649, United States (US). When this policy uses the words we, us or our, those words refer to Atlantis Painting LLC. When it uses the words you or your, those words refer to the person reading the policy, whether that person is a visitor to the website, a prospective client, an active client or a vendor who works with the studio.
1. Scope of This Policy
This policy covers the website located at the address shown on our contact page, together with the studio workflows that support an estimate sheet, a color card run, a crew note desk, a prep window, a finish review round and a walkthrough sitting. It applies to information gathered through the website, through email and telephone conversations with the studio, through forms that clients complete at the tray, and through project records that the studio keeps on file after a job closes.
The policy does not cover the practices of other companies whose services we may link to or rely on, such as a payment processor, an email provider or a mapping service. Those companies publish their own privacy notices, and we encourage you to read them whenever you share information with them. Where we use such a company to help us run the studio, we limit the information we share to what the company needs to perform its task and we ask the company to protect that information.
This policy does not create contractual rights beyond those already described in our Terms of Service. It is a description of our practices, offered so that visitors and clients can make informed choices about the information they share with the studio.
2. Information We Collect
We collect two broad categories of information: information that you give us directly, and information that is generated automatically as you use the website. The depth of the information depends on how you interact with the studio and whether you become a client.
Information you give us directly includes your name, email address, telephone number, the property address where a project would occur, the rooms and surfaces you want treated, color preferences, timeline notes and any message you choose to send through the contact form. If you become a client, we also collect the details needed to plan and complete the work, such as floor plans, photographs of the space, crew notes and the signed checklist that closes the project.
Information generated automatically includes technical details that a browser sends whenever it requests a page, such as the type of device, the operating system, the browser version, the approximate region inferred from the network address and the pages that were viewed. This information is used in aggregate to keep the site working and to understand which pages help visitors most. We do not attempt to identify a specific person from this technical information unless we are required to do so by law.
We do not ask for government identification numbers, financial account credentials or health information through this website. If a project ever requires a detail of that kind, the studio will explain the reason in writing before asking for it and will use a secure channel rather than the public contact form.
3. How We Collect Information
Most of the information we hold arrives through one of four channels. The first channel is the website contact form, which passes your name, email address, subject and message to the studio so a lead can reply. The second channel is direct correspondence by email or telephone, where the studio records the details of a conversation in its project file. The third channel is a studio visit, where a lead takes measurements and notes at the estimate sheet bay and may photograph a room with your permission. The fourth channel is automatic browser data, described in the section above.
Sometimes information reaches us indirectly. A vendor, a property manager or a family member may send us a note on behalf of a client, and that note may contain the client name and contact details. We treat information received this way with the same care as information we collect directly, and we confirm with the client that the vendor, manager or family member was authorized to share it.
When you submit the contact form, your email application may open with the message prepared and you remain in control of whether to send it. The studio only receives the message once you choose to send it from your own mail client. This design keeps the studio from holding a copy of a message you decided not to send.
4. Estimate and Studio Records
Our work depends on written records. An estimate sheet lists rooms, surfaces, coat counts and scope. A color card run records the colors tested and the walls they were tested on. Crew notes record decisions that affect the paint work, such as primer type, sanding grit and cut in order. A finish review round records corrections and the room they applied to. A walkthrough sitting produces a signed checklist and a care sheet for the owner.
These records contain details about your property and your preferences, but they are not intended to contain sensitive personal information. We keep photographs to the extent they help document a surface condition or a finish, and we avoid capturing people, personal papers or valuables in a frame whenever that avoidance is practical. You can ask the studio to delete a photograph that you consider unnecessary, and we will remove it unless keeping it is required to resolve a dispute or to satisfy a legal obligation.
The written record is the reason a project can survive a change of crew without losing its standard, and it is also the reason we can answer questions months after a job closes. We treat those records as confidential business material and restrict access to the people who need them to perform the work or to answer a client question.
6. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we rely on the following bases. We process information to perform a contract when you ask us to prepare an estimate or carry out a project. We process information with your consent when you send a message through the contact form or agree to a photograph being taken. We process information to comply with a legal obligation, such as keeping records required for tax or accounting purposes. We process information for our legitimate interests when we keep the website secure, improve the studio process and defend against a dispute, provided that those interests do not outweigh your rights.
When we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to the studio. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that already happened before the withdrawal, and it does not prevent us from completing a contract that we entered at your request. Withdrawing consent for a photograph means we will remove the image from the project record unless a legal reason requires us to keep it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not process personal information for automated decision making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on a person. The studio process is documented and reviewed by people, not scored by an algorithm.
7. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to reply to your inquiry, to prepare an estimate sheet, to schedule a color card run or a prep window, to write crew notes, to carry out finish review rounds and to hold a walkthrough sitting. We use it to answer a follow up question, to send a care sheet after a project closes and to remind you about a scheduled visit that you asked us to arrange.
We also use information to keep the studio running. That includes accounting and billing, keeping records of completed work, training new crew members on the documented studio process, and improving the estimate sheet templates so future plans are clearer. When we use a project record for training, we remove client names and property addresses so that the example describes the method rather than the person.
We do not send marketing email to a person who has not asked for it. If you opt in to occasional studio news, every message will include a way to stop future messages, and the studio will honor that request promptly. If you contact us with a question, we may reply to that specific question even if you have not signed up for any list.
9. Service Providers
Service providers act on our instructions and are expected to protect the information they handle. We choose providers that describe their security practices in writing and that agree to use client information only to deliver the service we requested. We review those relationships periodically and replace a provider when it no longer meets the standard the studio expects.
A service provider may store data in a data center outside the region where you live, and the provider may use a subcontractor to keep that data available. We require each provider to pass on equivalent protection to any subcontractor and to notify us promptly if a security incident affects information the studio has entrusted to it. Where a provider is located outside the United States, we rely on the safeguards that the provider maintains and on any legal framework that applies to the transfer.
10. Payments and Billing
When a project moves to a deposit or an invoice, payment is handled by a payment processor rather than by the studio directly. The processor receives the billing details needed to complete the transaction, and it may hold card data under its own security program. The studio keeps a record of the invoice amount, the date and the status of the payment, but the studio does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
Billing records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules and for as long as needed to resolve a dispute about scope or payment. If you ask a question about a charge, the studio will review the estimate sheet and the payment record together so the answer refers to the same scope the client saw at the desk. Questions about billing can be sent to estimates@atlantispaint.surf or raised by phone at +17197923797.
11. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information only as long as it serves a purpose. A contact form message that does not lead to a project is kept for a short period so a lead can follow up, and then it is deleted. An estimate sheet that was quoted but not accepted is kept for the period that a warranty or a legal claim could arise, so the studio can explain what was offered if a question arrives later. Records for a completed project are kept for the period required by tax and accounting rules and for as long as a finish warranty could be claimed.
When a retention period ends, we delete the record or remove the details that tie it to a person, leaving only statistics that cannot identify anyone. If you ask the studio to delete your information earlier, we will honor the request unless a legal reason requires us to keep a specific record. In that case we will explain the reason and delete the rest of the information we hold.
12. How We Protect Information
The studio protects information with a mix of technical measures and plain operational habits. Accounts are protected by strong passwords and two factor authentication where the tool supports it. Devices that hold client records are encrypted and locked when not in use. Access to the project file is limited to the people who work on the project or who answer a client question, and access is removed when a person leaves the studio.
We train the crew to treat a client record as a confidential document. A crew member does not share a client name, an address or a project detail on a personal account, and does not leave a printed sheet in a public space. Paper records are stored in a locked cabinet and shredded when the retention period ends. Backups are tested so that a fault does not silently destroy a record the studio is required to keep.
No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. If a security incident occurs that creates a risk of harm to a person, the studio will investigate, contain the incident and notify the affected people and the relevant authorities as required by law. The studio will then review what went wrong and change its process so that the same fault is less likely to recur.
13. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what information the studio holds about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct an error, to delete information that is no longer needed, to restrict how it is used, to withdraw consent or to object to a particular use. You may also have the right to receive your information in a portable format or to ask that it be sent to another organization where that is technically feasible.
To exercise a right, write to the studio at estimates@atlantispaint.surf with enough detail for a lead to locate your record, such as the name and email address used with the studio and the approximate date of a visit. The studio will acknowledge the request promptly and will respond within the period required by the law that applies. We may ask for a small amount of information to confirm identity before releasing or deleting a record, so that we do not hand a client file to the wrong person.
You will not be charged for a reasonable request and you will not be treated differently because you exercised a right. If the studio cannot fulfill a request because a legal obligation requires us to keep a record, we will explain which obligation applies and what information we were able to act on.
14. Privacy for Children
The website and the studio services are intended for adults who are at least eighteen years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under the age of thirteen, and we do not ask a child to send a message through the contact form. A family may include a child in a studio visit, but the project details are discussed with the adult who holds the estimate sheet.
If the studio learns that it has collected information from a child under thirteen without the consent of a parent or guardian, the studio will delete the information as quickly as practical. A parent or guardian who believes that a child has sent information to the studio can contact estimates@atlantispaint.surf and the studio will investigate and remove the record where the law requires it.
15. Third Party Links and Services
The website may contain a link to a map service, a payment page or a supplier resource that is operated by another company. When you follow such a link, the other company may collect information under its own policy. The studio does not control that collection and cannot promise how another company will use the information it receives.
We choose links that seem useful to a visitor, and we review them from time to time, but a link does not mean that the studio endorses every practice of the company behind it. If you believe a link is misleading or unsafe, tell the studio by email and a lead will review it. Where the studio relies on a third party to complete a payment or a scheduling step, we describe the role of that party in this policy and point to the party privacy notice at the moment of use.
16. International Visitors
Atlantis Painting LLC is based in Roy, Utah, in the United States, and the studio records described in this policy are stored primarily in the United States. If you visit the website or contact the studio from another country, your information will be transferred to the United States, where the law may offer a different level of protection than the law of your own country.
Where the law of a visitor country requires specific safeguards for a transfer, the studio will rely on the safeguards that a service provider maintains and on any recognized legal framework that applies. A visitor can ask the studio for a summary of the transfer safeguards used for a particular service, and the studio will provide that summary in writing. If a transfer safeguard does not apply, the studio will explain the reason before processing the information.
17. Notice for California Residents
California law gives residents specific rights about personal information. The studio describes the categories of information it collects, the sources of that information, the purposes for which it is used and the categories of parties with whom it is shared in the sections above. The studio does not sell personal information as that term is defined under California law, and it does not share personal information for cross context behavioral advertising.
A California resident may request access to the information the studio holds, request deletion, request correction and request a copy in a portable format. To make a request, write to estimates@atlantispaint.surf and describe the request. The studio will verify identity before acting and will respond within the period the law allows. A resident may also designate an authorized agent to make a request, and the studio may ask for proof that the agent is authorized and for confirmation from the resident.
The studio will not deny a service, charge a different price or provide a lower quality of service because a resident exercised a privacy right. If a resident believes a request was not handled correctly, the resident can contact the studio directly and ask for a review by a lead who was not involved in the first decision.
18. Changes to This Policy
The studio may update this policy when the way it works changes, when a new service provider is added, or when the law changes. When an update is made, the date at the top of the page is changed and the revised text is posted on the website. If the change is significant, the studio will also describe the change in a short notice on the homepage or in a message to active clients.
A previous version of the policy can be requested from the studio by email. Continued use of the website after an update means that the updated policy applies to information collected after the update. Information collected before an update continues to be governed by the policy that was in effect when it was collected, unless the updated policy is more protective or unless you agree to the update.
19. How to Contact Us
The studio answers privacy questions directly. You can reach Atlantis Painting LLC by email at estimates@atlantispaint.surf, by phone at +17197923797, or by post at 2821 W 4225 S, Roy - 84067-9649, United States (US). The developer name Atlantis Paint appears on studio records and may be used when a question concerns the website itself.
When you contact the studio, please include enough detail for a lead to understand the request, such as the email address used with the studio, the approximate date of a visit and the specific right you want to exercise. A lead will reply, confirm what the studio will do, and give an expected date for completion. If the request is urgent because of a security concern, say so in the subject line so that the note is reviewed quickly.
If you are not satisfied with the response, ask for a review by a studio lead who was not part of the first decision. The studio treats a privacy complaint as a chance to improve the process, and every complaint is logged so that a pattern can be spotted and corrected.
